Been to Rajasthan quite a few times, this time being Jodhpur. We’ve been asked to shoot a lip dub video only for the wedding, which is a first for us. The bridal party were fun, very enthu and the authentic Rajasthani flavours added to the wedding were the finishing on the cake.
The setup for the mehendi was beautiful. A collage of colours. And small Rajasthani elements peppered everywhere, even in the food.
Above pic is courtesy of Sharan Ranjit, who was taking photos while we were busy with video. Of course, no wedding in Jodhpur is complete without the traditional Rajasthani dancers. Flex, cups, knives, you name it, and she would dance on top of it. Grass even.
In the end, it was hot, colourful and loud. The food filled with ghee kept us happy till the evening. Those who’ve been here know Rajasthani flavours mean ghee.
Go with an extra set of clothes. And carry shades.
