The wedding day was a long and tiresome one. Managed to sneak some time off with the couple, during the lunch time, for a small fun-filled couple shoot. Claude was the one with all the awesome ideas, while I provided moral support
If there was one thing other than the celebrations in this wedding, it was the chemistry between the couple. They really understood each other very well. Knew each ones imperfections, and knew how to handle it. Being a wedding photographer, and so close to the couple on their most important day, we learn quite a lot about them.
The day was long and hot. South Indian wedding in the morning, and North Indian in the evening. Takes a toll on the guests, the couple and of course us. But this shouldn’t deter one, as this is one day they rely on the photographer, to remember the most.
Couple shoots are very dependant on the chemistry between the couple. Some are downright affectionate, some iffy, some just plain shy. One needs to know to recognise this, and use it to one’s advantage.
Photographer tip : Go in for a fun couple shoot with ideas pre-planned. But don’t count on them to work flawlessly. Things can go wrong. Always have a backup option. It’s ok to repeat ideas, as it’s still new to them. Use the location well, since even though ideas may repeat, the location or couple will not.
