Kids! Never been too fond of them. Noisy, bratty, hyper and jumping on your back types. This however was a new experience for me. My close friend Ansul runs ASDA (Ansul’s Dance Academy), which works primarily with kids. Wasn’t really sure if I could deliver when he wanted me to shoot some kids games and dance movement, but I have this issue of not being able to say no 🙂
Photographer tip : Kids are, like I said, Noisy, bratty and just impatient. You need to be patient and get down to their level. Try shooting them playing with their toys. Look for expression, emotion and relationship. But mostly, Have fun and take LOTS of pictures.
I was lucky to have Ansul guiding them and telling them what to do. He’s a star when handling kids. After all, running such a big dance academy with just a few teenagers under him is no easy task. You can follow them up on facebook, if interested.
From their site :

We believe in spreading happiness and joy through the various forms of dance
Dance styles such as indo jazz, contemporary, Bollywood, hip hop, freestyle and folk are taught to kids in the most unique, creative and professional ways.
Our dance classes are conducted in different terms of 2 to 3 months each, with each term ending with a performance or a presentation.
We also recognize exceptional talent amongst these kids and give them free professional dance training. These kids are also trained to do professional, commercial events and shows.
