The nightlife in Mumbai

Just back from the city of Mumbai after spending a week there for Artists in Action. 3 days of non stop dance performances and workshops with some of the greats from all over the world. and of course, the later part of the day was spent checking out the nightlife in Mumbai.

Mumbai Meri Jaan

The 3 day dance festival was organised by Robin Merchant who runs Artists in Action, with the first ever leg being in Mumbai. The 1st day was only the competition with artists from all over the country going all out against each other.

We were the winners in 5 categories including the best emerging choreographer. 2 solo’s and a duet included. Where we lacked in technique, we shined in choreography and presentation.

This pic was taken from outside Priyanka’s home, Thane, from the 16th floor from her balcony. I’m sure Arun will remember this view for life, taken from his meditation spot. Although we spent the nights scouring the nightlife in Mumbai, we eventually landed up spending the night in her place as the city shuts by 1am!

Travel Tip – Staying in Mumbai is very tricky. There are really bad places in posh areas, while more clean placed far away from the city. It’s also a city where the smells vary every 5 minutes of travel. If you have a friend there, they’re almost always welcome to you staying there, as its a good break for them from their monotonous work life.
