Ankita and Akshaye’s wedding was the epitome of the big fat Indian wedding. Spread over 3 days at the Golden Palms resort in Bangalore, it was a heady mix of culture, music, dance and emotions. The welcome party in the morning was an indication of things to come for the rest of the days.
My first time encounter of a destination wedding. The groom was from Kuwait, and the bride from Andhra Pradesh, if my memory serves me right. But what a location they chose. The golden palms resort is a treat for the senses. I got lost a couple of times in vastness of the campus.
Most welcome parties have like a welcome drink and the family bringing them in. Not this wedding, I’m sorry. There were people getting garlands, a tilak and more. Then there was the dhol, and the tradition Rajasthani dancers with the traditional costumes.
I learnt one important thing that day. A wedding is measured by how you treat your guests. Like a boss!
